How It Works

GeekCause has partnered with a select group of non-profits in Middle Tennessee. All of these groups do wonderful things in the community but, like most non-profits, oftentimes struggle with backend resources. They have each indicated to us that one of the primary business aspects they need help with on a regular basis is information technology.

So how can you help? We’ve created a quick and easy process.

  1. First, click here to fill out this basic information form. We just need your name, e-mail address and phone number.
  2. Provide a brief overview of your skillset. You can choose from the options in the dropdown menu.
  3. You can also select how much time you can devote per month and which days and times work best with your schedule.
  4. Then you can select up to three non-profit groups you would like to assist.

Once you’ve filled out the form you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail. Then a member of the GeekCause staff will contact you to validate your skill level and complete a background check.

After you have been approved as one of our technology consultants we’ll try to match your skillset and schedule with the projects we have in the queue. Once you’ve selected a project we’ll handle initial project coordination putting you in touch with the non-profit and the other volunteers that are working on the project.
